Generally, the values of handicrafts export in first quarters in 2006 decrease that reach 12,75 percent than the same period 2005. However, especially for the painting export increase reach 214,40 percent, beside that, the promotion and advertising was carried out to the several developing countries, which have the biggest potency as the supplier of Balinese painting.
“A new target to the painting market such as Africa, Middle East, Asia, and others. While the countries was regularly to import the painting such as USA, Australia, Japan, Italy, French and so on. These countries as the permanent suppliers of Balinese painting,” she stated.
Kusumawathi added, the data in May and June 2006 the painting export was rise reach 244,54 percent that is because the product was successful to offer in a new market. The painter, Agung Arya stated, in this time the painting ordered rise up. Kinds of painting that are interested are abstract painting, figurative painting, realist painting, and un-realist.
“Furthermore the orders of the product increase reach 10 percent per three months. It is make the price of the product expensive, because a new creativity of painting and also the making process of the painting are difficult too. The value export cannot be seen from the total of painting, but from the selling value,” he stated.
