Bangli’s as part of the regencies in Bali, which has a lot of unique handicraft products such handicraft made of glass. During the time, local craftsmen exported the product to European markets.
The business of glass crafts is flourishing, because the customer’s demand to the product experience increases constantly. “We still optimistic, in the future this product able to acquire foreign exchange,” the Head of Trade and Industrial Office Bangli, Drs. Sang Made Sutyawan said recently.
He said, up to these days in this area only a craftsman created handicraft made of glass with various sizes. “They offered the product with inexpensive price, the product targeting local and foreign customer,” he explained.
He added, Denmark, United States of America, Australia, and Greek are dominated the demand. He added, craftsmen created the product depend on order, make the marketing of the product still become a problem. However, government in Bangli will be promoting the product to local customer.
“We are optimistic this product own the unique design and motif, if craftsmen and government promote intensively, this product will be able to compete with the other handicraft product,” he said. He added that the foreign demand to the product reach thousands pieces every month.
